Once again a late post to reddit. While I know everyone in the northeast got hammered, I found a problem of my own. My office-bedroom has 8 old style Florida windows. The kind that have a latch in the center and pull out. Well they haven't been opened in years and weather proofing is non-existent. How do I know? While Vinny was getting hammered by Hurricane Sandra in Princeton, NJ. I was freezing my butt off when the Temperature dropped into the 40's in good ol' Florida. Even with my heater on, it was just as cold inside as out. While that doesn't compare to what Vince is going through, it was a call to action for me. I inspected the windows closely and saw that not one was sealed when it was closed. In fact, what passed for weather striping back in the 20's is what was preventing the windows from fully closing. They were painted shut and just an all around pain in the butt to get open. Then the paint broke and started to peel off the outside of the windows, trim was loose and the bottom of the windows need to be cut so they could clear the sill. The sill wood was split and needed to be filled so the trim could be attached right. As it stands now I have 3 windows that function, five more to fix. So that is the reason for forgetting to post yesterday. Today was the day I had planned to start working on The Originals again, but I don't know if that will happen or even if I will get a page ready for next Friday.

As far as tomorrow's Grenade, I have no idea if Vin has got it completed and even if he does, he doesn't have any power to upload. I haven't been able to get through to him but a Facebook post let me know he is safe. I hope he didn't get clobbered to bad, but I have a feeling at the very least he'll have some flooding to deal with. So anyway, here's The Grenade Page 7 one day late posting to Reddit again and hopefully Vin made out better then I think and will upload Grenade Page 8 tonight.

With the events of the last few days, I can’t help but parallel what I am writing here to the events unfolding in the world. In the tumultuous days, we need to act with wisdom and understanding; not react with hatred and violence. We should be wiser than the serpent. Vin

Hi Mandella,
We're currently not looking for writers. We publish creator owned material.
We are, however, thinking about adding more to our line-up, but we're talking about finished product and for promotional reasons only. The Creator(s) keep all of their rights, get promoted from our site and have the ability to advertise here for freelance work. So what do they get? The same as me and Vin.

•You get your title under a unified banner, the banner of Internet Comics
Network. That makes us all stronger and you as a creator stronger.

• You get to write or draw on a continuing basis, and that helps you
   develop style and writing ability.
• You get to have someone go over your work before it gets published and
   believe me it helps.

Like I said this is in the talk about stage.
We're thinking about a contest, but not quite sure how we're going to handle it yet. If you have finished material, we'd love to see it and give you our 2 cents.

Best of luck to you!

Dear Comic Book People:

My name is Mandela Addah. I live in Toronto, Canada.

I am a professional comic scriptwriter seeking employment. Hopefully with you. I like to write superhero and I have had work published elsewhere.

All my comic books are wholesome. They have lots of action and adventure. My comics do not have any sex, swearing, or bloody violence, and none of my books feature scantily clad women with unrealistic figures.

I would like to know if you are looking for new talent. If so, confirm. I will then e-mail you a short 5 page script about a character I created called Rush. If you go over it you will see that I know my job and would be a credit to your team.

Please get back to me and tel me what you think.
